If I were to publish magazine professionally I would go with an independent publisher as this gives me the advantage of keeping editorial rights and keeping all control over the content of my magazine. This also means that I wouldn’t have to include as many adverts which I feel are mostly irrelevant to the audience. The disadvantage of publishing independently is financial. But due to my product being successful I would hope that the target audience of guitarists would pick it up quickly and spread the product through word of mouth.
